Description :Extra strong & high alloy steel electrode for joining steel to stainless steel, manganese steel, dissimilar steel ideal 'black' to 'white' welding electrode. Highly recommended for joining hard to weld steels, Versatile for joining dissimilar steels, austenitic steels to ferritic steels, carbon steels to stainless steels for buffer layers and for austenitic cladding. Superior resistance to intergranular corrosion & retaining mechanical properties when working at high service temperature upto 1150'C.
-
Applictions :wherever maximum ductility is required when joining dissimilar steels to themselves or to stainless steels, manganese steels also excellent as a cushion layer in tool steel hardfacing appliction where high hardness picks up is not desired in the final overlays. Can be used for buildup(after giving cushion layer of ARF NX)on Ni-hard, Hi-chrome pump casing.
-
Procedures :
- Clean weld area thoroughly, free of all impurities.
- Remove hardened Zone and cracks,if any
- Use stringent weld techniqut and short lenght weld beads.
- Maintain interpass temperature 100-1500 C 5. Use minimum current as far as possible to avoid heat distribution while welding manganese steels.
